If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you ⭐️ I hear this a lot at the moment, partly because I’ve started going to more networking events 🙈 but aside from the cliche, it’s really true. People come to me after and say ‘I hate having my photo taken’ ‘I’m so awkward’ ‘Im so shy’ yepppp 🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️ me too!! I’m embracing my final weekend of mindfully pausing through January. Does anyone else take the time to slow down over the winter months? 🌱 Nature hibernates and so to mimic this yin behaviour feels quite natural to me. As business owners we need to recharge to rise! 🪷 Don’t feel guilty if you still haven’t kickstarted 2024, I certainly had a bit of guilt creeping in comparing myself to lots of lovely small businesses on my grid, and after having the kids back to school it’s easy to jump on the desk and start the grind, but on reflection I did this same pattern last year so maybe this is just what I do! What a fabulous 2023!! I couldn’t have asked for a better first full year in business ⭐️ thank you to everyone who booked in with me last year, I simply couldn’t showcase all my favourites but here are some highlights. I am especially grateful to @vickiknights.branding and @eddie.judd.branding who on their @shoot.edit.chat.repeat snapped me out of treating my business as a “side-business hobby mindset” and woke me up to realise how businesses are really needing elevated imagery to get their message out in the world. I actually feel called to this stronger than just doing photography ‘for fun’ to satisfy my creative side. I can do this whilst helping others too how incredibly rewarding! So this year Brand Photography will be my main focus but don’t worry families I still have you covered! Christmas photoshoots 2023! I love seeing so many of you again in the studio and I can’t believe how many of you have new additions to the family since last year 🤩 It still amazes me how fast these little miracles grow. Bluebell woods portraits with another gorgeous family 💫 I’m usually quite scared of dogs after being jumped on by a black Labrador when I was younger. As I’m getting older and with the nature of this job I’m learning to release the fear 🥲 although a friend brought her black lab to coffee on Monday and I couldn’t bring myself to stroke him 🤪 so I’m getting thereeeee but meeting Buster in the woods was such a delight. The zoom lens is my ultimate fave as I can hide amongst trees 🌲 and in bushes, waiting for your child’s faces of joy as you interact with them. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, grandmothers and aunties out there! 💐 I decided to take my trio in the garden for some blossom portraits yesterday, you can see how they turned out 🤣 My eldest got carried away shaking the blossom, Mahi got sprayed from the raindrops left on the tree and my middly refused to take his footie kit off, proceeded to shake so hard a blossom branch has had to rest in peace. Total carnage 🙈!! We lasted all but 10 minutes out there and now I fully understand how you lot say you can never get decent pics of your kids smiling … well neither can I 😂 book those photographers to capture your memories! Hello!! I’m here 👋🏽 alive and well in February 2023 😅 Wow what a longggg month Jan was and a crazy end to last year! I’ve had a great few photoshoots to start the new year but sometimes my clients don’t want their images shared, or I can’t share the commercial ones yet which is absolutely fine, so here’s a little pic of Mahi I took this morning chasing her around my garden 😆 I managed to get one decent pic in the few mins I had before a big black dog came running in and freaked us both out! (I’m scared of dogs eek, she was probably fine to be fair but I grabbed her and ran back into the house as fast as I could! 💨) Maybe I’ll attempt an indoor shoot with her soon 🤭 1 gallery sent this evening and 2 galleries in process… and I have a huge and very exciting project starting next Thursday which will take all my availability up until April. December Birthdays 🥳 🤍 I have a new found love for babies born in December, even though my hubby has his birthday in December I never really considered that they don’t like their presents wrapping in Christmas paper or people turning up to their parties in Christmas jumpers 🤣🙊 so sorry to my Hubs and for everyone this happens to!! Today I was photographing at @therivermillvenue. They had their first Christmas Fair supporting @childrenfirstderby, a local charity that works with vulnerable children creating a positive impact in their lives and the local community. It was such a beautiful market with a Santas grotto, lots of activities to do for the kids, s’mores making on the fire pits, a tombola, raffle, independent stalls and even donkeys! (That’s Mahi’s favourite animal 🙊) And that’s the last of the Christmas markets from me, so I wish you all a Merry Christmas! I’m still accepting orders for the Santa Windows until tomorrow evening until I take a break for the festive period 🌟 Xx

Happy Halloween!! Did you ever grow up with older siblings and wonder why they had more photos around the house? Did they have more toys than you? Im lucky enough to be a middle child and the only daughter so I didn’t experience any of that, but I can easily see how a third baby can get left out. Being a mum of 3 is a challenge in its own right but my gift is to take photos and so it twanged a nerve when my eldest noticed there wasn’t many of his youngest sister, especially when my kitchen is blasted with photos of the boys growing up.
